Hawaii Ninja Style

The 4 C's were back, and this time, ninja style was legit.   They painted this small image of a Hawaiian scene for their uncle, and inserted 4 hidden ninja's into the foliage....can you find them?  Ninja's are elusive, you know....

Session 1 was with the little boys.   C1 came over to begin a base for this elaborate landscape!  In went the water!

Then some rock colors,

and the littlest C called it a wrap!  Nice start buddy!  Isn't he adorable!

C2 came to fill in the rest of the base.   This kid is so smiley!  I love him!

Getting those sides....

And adding some green....

Look at his CA YUTE smile!

What a GREAT START!   These little guys are such pros now....no ninja's in yet though!

Session 2:  Next up the big boys came over to work on the rest of the painting.  C3 was the waterfall man, which was a really cool part of the painting.   First the falls....

 Then the splash....

And finally some blending with a sponge to create a mist.....

 AWESOME!

Okay, now C4 was up for the final details.  (I feel like I'm calling them robots- C1, C2,....but whatever, ninja's, robots, it all works!  First he added details to the rock...

 Then he worked on the foliage....C4 definitely had the most finicky part of the painting to contend with, but was totally up for the task.

Small ninja heads are now in...and soon to be slighty masked by greenery.....

 C4's final step was using watercolors to add in a rainbow through the water.  

 Then, project complete!   Once again, these 4 brothers collaborated for an awesome result!  I love that I'm getting to know these guys better each time!  Such great boys!   And now, two awesome paintings under their (black) belts.
