These two sisters made up my afternoon class of Eye Catching Art. We explored using drawing and painting techniques to create dimensional and, well, "eye catching" art! I truly enjoyed getting to know these girls and loved our relaxing afternoons of art! Not only is it fun to create, studio time allows a get away too. Everyone should take time to create, right "A" and "E"!
The first project idea I introduced was zectangle art, which is using doodles to create a visually pleasing work. We were going to transfer their creations (whatever object they chose to draw and doodle in) onto a canvas that they would paint a background in. There was lots of room for creative visions and the girls really took off with their own unique plans. I was amazed at "E's" free handed tree the first day! I knew this would be something to behold!
"A" worked on a clean symmetrical castle and had fun with her designs as well! Wait until you see the painted result! She really took off creatively with her painting for an awesome final piece!
Using Folk Art as our inspiration, the girls took their paintings to a new level by using a paste to add a POP to their paintings. After sketching out their plans on canvas, they worked the paste just so!
I love these paintings! These are such happy paintings! Aw...I love these girls!
