Moms can pick ANY four colors to create the right look for their home. I would meet twice with the little ones for 30 minutes each session to create this abstract project. $20.00 plus the canvas cost....
This little artist with a big personality kept me laughing all the way through his painting session! He had so much to say, and he is so persuasive too! Plus, I'm his aunt and he has me wrapped around his little fingers as only a 3 year old can.
We started the process with a taped off canvas. We talked about where to paint and "O" practiced painting without paint ON the brush before we used the paints.
Paint now?
I think "O" started to make "mistakes" on purpose...."Oops, sometimes we make mistakes, right?"
Time for color number 2!
So proud! Aww!
Serious artist shot...
Okay, back to work for the messy part!
OH! SO YUCKY!!!!!
Since I was babysitting this artist, I put him down for a nap before session 2. He really wanted to play outside and the artist profession was just not quite taking hold.....sooo.....
As we snuggled, he said, "I think I want to play, no more painting."
Me, "Well, a little more painting."
"Ummm, how about we're done painting?"
Me, "Let's talk about it when we wake up."
"I want to talk about it now."
"Umm, let's talk about it after we wake up."
"hmmm...let's talk about it now."
Me, "I love you, good night!"
short pause, silence, slight sigh
"I love you too. Good night"
After a nap to revive his creative side, we set to finish up with session 2!
I had taped off the other two sides and then we brush painted the other 2 colors, and this time, I helped "O" stamp the picture so it stayed more contained in the rectangles.
EWW!! SO MESSY!
LET'S WASH UP!
"Will you sing the messy hands song again, Aunt Jill?" I have the best job!
And the last color for the project....
Squirt the paint....
Squish it together....
And stamp away!
