These 2 kiddos are back for Grandma and Grandpa on the other side! For Christmas gift "round 2" we painted a picture based on a photo of their grandparent's pier with their boat, "Roman Around"! Lots of fun memories for them here! What a great idea for a personal present!
Pre-ker, "A" came over for a lunch date paint session to make a beautiful start!
Sunset sky to begin!
She is so hug-able!!!! Look at those eyes!
Next up was our water! I had some paint lines for her to follow which you can see here!
Adding some dimension to the water and blending!
Already so nice!
Now I held the painting up so she could do the horizon, painting it vertically....easier :)
Now the island...I dotted the brown and had her cover it up with greens.
Now some grass reeds.

"A" is so full of life and is a great girl to chat with! She had a big day at pre-k and a field trip the next day so lots to share! What a fun life!
"A" is adding in the coloring for the dock here.
And layering for more color. Good job with your lines!!! I caught these photos mid-sentence.

Here's where it ended up before big brother's session! Pretty awesome for a pre-ker!
Now big brother "J" came over to add some details. First, we added in the planks of the dock.
Then, "J" painted in the bench and poles. I would paint a dot to dot to guide his lines.
We used the dot to dot to put in the outline of Grandpa's pontoon too....

Now some more grass reeds-lots to add!
And finally, Grandpa's boat is named "Roman Around" and is written in the Italian flag colors on the back. Putting the lettering in would be quite difficult for "J", so instead he painted lines where the name is
placed on the boat.
When we were wrapping it up, "J" noticed that we didn't paint in the tires on the dock, which protect the boat! Good eye "J"! Our last details were those tires!
And then it was a wrap! Time for the photo shoot!
