For 5 year old "E", a rainbow, flowers, and girly colors were the goal for a painting for her room! What a bright and colorful addition to her decor!
"E" met me at Tribeca with her Grandma and we got started. We only had a day to work with, so I had taped off the painting so she could get more than one step done at once. She did a great job working with all that painter tape! In went the sky and the grass, then she helped me pull off the rainbow tape and started working on the rainbow- no need to wait for paint to dry this way!
Rainbow in! Next we pulled off all the flower tape so she could see what to do next. In went our stems and grass, and then I would outline the flowers in her choice of colors and she would fill in!
Great job with lines "E"!
She used stampers for the flower middles and then we waited for some dry time before our next step! Proud painter!
After lunch "E" traced her flowers with a sharpie. This would make them pop off the painting, and come to the fore ground of the painting as well.
She did the middle, but the tracing proved a little difficult, so we did take out the middle sharpie with yellow paint :)
