Butterflies

Little painter "K" has come to know what happens when she arrives at my house.   As they pull in the drive, she says, "Paint?"   AWESOME!   At almost 2, she got the opportunity to paint her very own canvas!  This is an example of a "Small Child Painting".   Lots of hands, some feet, and few little touch ups as well. :)

Our first session began in a new way for "K".  What?  I can use a PAINTBRUSH!?   You're not just going to paint my hands?    Here she begins!

Getting full paint coverage was our main goal.  Thanks big sister "L" for the help!

I had "L" do the sides of the canvas for "K".  Then we moved to some hand painting techniques which she is pretty famous for.

 I got this mom!

hmm...looks...green!  I'll just wipe it off.   Too adorable!

Doesn't the pic on the left just say, "Yes! I'm a master painter"!

I helped her stamp some remaining spots, and continued refilling her hands as well.

Splat it down!  And we got it covered!

Session 2:  For this session, we were going to stamp her feet to create butterflies.  It's a good thing she is also a yoga pro!  Ha!  I love her total abandon of her feet to the process!

Stretch it!

and stamp it!

"K" was very chill about the process.  "Yep, just paint my feet.  Sounds good to me."

"L" did some paint application too!  She is such a great helper!

And stamp away!

Thanks mom for the awesome pics!  I'm glad I got you in this one.  It was a group effort, with painting and photos, and "K" was so agreeable!

Time for session 3!   This time I had big sis "L" paint in some stems for flowers and we used "K's" hand prints as the blooms.

Now blue!  Then yellow, and a WHOLE LOT of adorable!

All that was left was to add in some butterfly bodies and we called it a wrap!  The stamping artist, with her masterpiece!

I think she is thinking deep, artistic thoughts here (on the left)...and then was simply distracted (below).  Oh "K"!  You are simply too cute for words!!!!  So is your painting!
