The Crocodile named "E"

This little man debuted his first independent painting for his room with a crocodile named after himself.   I love this kid!  After serving as the background man for 2 paintings, he really enjoyed his time to shine with the whole painting!

Our first session was basic, with painting the canvas to prepare for "E" the croc!  "E" the boy, put on his concentrated painting face, and went to work!  I love these shots!

All finished for now!  Great job!

Session 2:  Today "E" added in water to create an island for his croc.  I painted the dark green and he filled in the light green.  I was so impressed with his ability to stay within the boundaries!  Just awesome!

He was feeling pretty good about his progress and so was I!

He dotted in the eyes, painted in the mouth and belly, and dotted a few teeth too.

Then he admired his work, and posed with his painting!

For session 3 I had lots of pencil marks for him to fill in!   He started with those teeth!

Then we tried a paint brush at first for croc's scales, but with so many scales, the brush proved difficult for this little guy, so we switched him to a q-tip, which accomplished our goals and maintained his fun!

Then back to the brush for some belly lines,

and finally a q-tip for the blue eyes (his choice, to match his own).   After all, when I asked the croc's name, I was told it was "E" same as the painter.  Excellent!

"E" the artist and "E" the croc, posing together!   AWESOME JOB BUD!
