This awesome group of three was back for painting number 2, their uncle's lake cabin. It is right next to their grandparent's cabin which was the first painting they created. These two homes are havens for summer fun and awesome family memories, so what great gifts to create for Christmas! I love paintings with personal connections, and I'm sure their family will too.
I was happy to have "P" back, especially since he wasn't sure about the first session and if he would like it. It was a success so I was glad he came back for more! He is an excellent base man!
"So would you like to work on some trees and grass?" "No, I want to leave something for the girls." (Also, my son was outside and ready to play. Totally get it "P"!)
Some shadowing...
Now the trees!
"M" it is looking good!
Next we moved to the windows. We were creating a dusk scene so went with lights on in the house (using our picture for help....we used grays in areas to add the idea of the inside details. "M" just knocked this part out of the park! I loved the results of her windows!
Time to meet with "E" now to wrap up our painting! We started out repainting the house since I had "P" use the wrong color the first time through! Oops!
Then we started the shingles. I think this was the point when "E" shared some fascinating fly facts with me. Thanks "E". I will always remember what I learned today.
For our final session I had "E" trim out the house first. She preferred that I edge it and she fill it in. So we painted together for awhile.
We had so much fun painting together, as is shown by the sheer joy in "E's" face in this photo. ha ha! We REALLY DID have fun together!!!! Right "E"?????
IMPRESSIVE!!!!
